Flooded Commercial Building in Dallas, TX
6/9/2017 (Permalink)
SERVPRO of Metrocrest was called out to a flooded building that was under construction in Dallas, TX. Flash flooding had caused approximately 15,000 sq ft of the building to fill with water. Fortunately, only concrete flooring was affected. The water, however, had gotten as high as 12 inches deep in some areas and affected a very important electrical room. SERVPRO of Metrocrest pumped and then extracted water from the structure before setting up drying equipment.
After receiving the weekend call for help from the customer, SERVPRO was able to arrive on site within one hour. The happy customer had called SERVPRO of Metrocrest because we had previously performed an Emergency Response Plan (ERP) for the customer. This ERP allowed the customer immediate access to our emergency contact information. The ERP gave technicians from SERVPRO of Metrocrest exact information regarding emergency shutoffs, entry points, and important points of contact in the facility.
